Local Liquor Seized Near Tadubi as Police Step Up Routine Checks

A routine frisking operation carried out by a team from Tadubi Police Station yesterday led to the seizure of 140 litres of locally brewed liquor hidden inside a red Alto car (MN08A-0175) near a petrol pump located just south of the police station.
The vehicle was intercepted on suspicion, following which a detailed search revealed the liquor concealed inside.

The car was reportedly driven by one Heni Heshu and accompanied by Mrs. Stephen Helina, both residents of Tunggam Khullen Village in Senapati district.
The seized liquor was handed over to the Excise Department, Senapati, for legal action as per procedure.

Police further stated that such routine checks will continue as part of their enforcement drive against unlawful activities.
