Lord Pakhangba–Japanese Dragon Deity Parallels Highlighted as Serpents of Pakhangba Set to Perform in Imphal Tomorrow

Drawing attention to deep-rooted cultural symbolism, Takako Haremaki, vocalist of the shamanic art metal band Serpents of Pakhangba, has said that Lord Pakhangba of Manipur bears striking similarities with the Japanese Dragon Deity, reflecting shared spiritual and cultural narratives between Manipur and Japan.

Against this backdrop of cross-cultural resonance, the renowned band, regarded as one of the pioneering shamanic art metal groups from North East India, is set to perform tomorrow at The Venue by Elle’s, Imphal.

Known for their fusion of indigenous spirituality and powerful metal sound, Serpents of Pakhangba promises an immersive musical experience.

The event is being organised with the support of Extreme Entertainment.
