In a determined crackdown on illegal alcohol trade, security forces in Moreh and Churachandpur have seized and destroyed large quantities of illicit liquor. In Moreh, a routine shop inspection led to the confiscation of 120 bottles of whiskey, 41 of rum, 24 of wine, 17 of vodka, and 80 of beer. Meanwhile, a night operation in Churachandpur resulted in the seizure of 267 bottles of IMFL whiskey, 72 bottles of IMFL rum, and 160 cans of beer. The entire cache was destroyed in the presence of media, the Executive Magistrate, and Excise Department officials.
