In a disturbing incident, Manipur Police on Sunday arrested a 29-year-old man for allegedly attacking a woman with a pair of scissors in a busy commercial area of Imphal West.
The accused, identified as Khuraijam Davish Singh (29) of Sagolband Salam Leikai, Imphal West, was apprehended near Ibohal Cycle, Paona Bazar, after he allegedly stabbed a woman in the neck with scissors.
The victim was immediately evacuated to Raj Medicity Hospital for emergency medical treatment. According to the latest report from the hospital, her condition is stable.
Police have taken the accused into custody, and further investigation is underway to ascertain the motive behind the attack.
