New Delhi (Agency), Nov 2, 2025: Delhi Police arrested a contractual employee of the MCD (Municipal Corporation of Delhi) for allegedly using the official letterhead of the Delhi CM’s Office, following a complaint from the Chief Minister’s Office.
The accused has been identified as 27-year-old Sonu, a resident of Tagore Garden, arrested on October 30, who had also duped several patients by promising them free treatment in a private hospital under the EWS (Economically Weaker Section) quota, according to reports.
According to police, the matter came to light after officials from Maharaja Agrasen Hospital in Delhi sent an email to the CMO seeking confirmation of a letter they had received recommending free treatment for a patient, Shyam Shankar, under the EWS category.
