Feb 23, 2025: A man attempting to send a parcel containing suspected ganja (marijuana) weighing around 2.920 kg through the post office was caught by the police on Saturday in Imphal. The man, identified as Akoijam Sachin Singh (27) from Imphal, was arrested with the item at the General Post Office, Imphal.
Meanwhile, in a crackdown against stolen vehicles in Manipur, two people have been booked, and six four-wheelers and five two-wheelers have been seized by the police. The seized vehicles include three Toyota Fortuners, one Mahindra Thar, and one Tata Safari.
The drive was conducted in the Lilong and Yairipok Singda areas of Thoubal District, and two individuals, identified as Pussam Azamaluddin (28) and Makakmayum Nawaz Khan (23), were arrested by the police for possession of stolen vehicles.
