Athletes of the All Manipur Body Builders Association (AMBBA), representing India at the 16th WBPF World Bodybuilding & Physique Sports Championship 2025 in Batam, Indonesia, have delivered an impressive performance, securing Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals for the country.
The event, held from 11 to 17 November, featured four competitors from Manipur. Ricky Hawaibam won Gold in the Junior Bodybuilding Open category, while Chongtham Bluncely Meitei bagged Silver in the same division. Sinam Momoocha Singh added to the medal tally with a Bronze in Senior Bodybuilding (65 kg).
In the Women’s Bodybuilding (up to 55 kg) category, Thokchom Sanjeeta is set to compete tomorrow, with results awaited.
AMBBA has appealed for wide publicity to inspire youth participation in bodybuilding and promote a healthy lifestyle across the state.
