Manipur CM Khemchand to Visit Jiribam Again for Rapport-Building

APRIL 3, 2026 (IMP): To foster trust and further rapport between communities in Manipur, Manipur CM Y. Khemchand Singh, along with some BJP MLAs, is likely to visit Jiribam for a three-day reconciliation tour, according to sources.

The Chief Minister is likely to initiate dialogue between both communities (Meitei and Kuki) leaders to ensure stability remains the top priority for the state. The CM is expected to reach at around 1 pm on April 4.

Earlier, the Manipur CM, while meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Delhi, was also asked by the Union Home Minister to speed up the peacekeeping process and bridge the trust deficit.

During the three-day visit, the CM will assess the locals’ conditions in Jiribam. He is likely to visit Leingangpokpi Police Outpost, Jiribam District Hospital, and Lamlenkhul.
