Manipur CM Wishes Students Appearing 10 Exams to Be Held Across 152 Centres

FEB 22, 2026 (IMP): This year’s Class 10 examination, conducted by the Board of Secondary Education (BOSEM), is all set to begin tomorrow (Monday, February 23) across 152 centres. Of these, three centres are allocated in Jiribam, 58 in hill districts, and 61 in the valley areas of Manipur.

Manipur Chief Minister Y. Khemchand has wished all students appearing for the examination and encouraged them, stating, “Board exams are a significant milestone in shaping one’s future, but they are just one level of the game, not the whole game.”

Close to 30,303 students are eligible to appear for the board examination, according to roll number statistics from the notification issued by BOSEM. The examination begins with the English paper and will conclude on March 23, 2026, with Mathematics. The Chief Minister also urged students to believe in themselves, stay calm and confident, and give their best effort. “You have prepared for this moment, and your hard work matters. Trust your preparation; focus on the effort rather than the result, and success will follow.”

He further stated that examinations do not test a student’s worth, and no single paper can define true potential or future. “Mistakes are proof of trying; we should not fear them but use them as opportunities to grow and improve,” the Chief Minister said.

BOSEM has earlier instructed candidates to bring a pencil (HB), an eraser, and blue or black ballpoint pens for darkening the OMR circles on the answer scripts. No candidate shall be allowed to carry books, notes, papers, written materials, mobile phones, or any other electronic gadgets inside the examination hall.

Any student or official found involved in malpractice in connection with the examination shall be dealt with strictly as per the provisions of the Manipur Prevention of Malpractices in High School Leaving Certificate and Higher Secondary Examination Act, 2024, according to the notification issued by the Controller of Examinations.
