Dr. Ricky Laishram of the Spastic Society of Manipur, along with members of the Manipur Cerebral Palsy (CP) Football Team, called on the Governor of Manipur, Ajay Kumar Bhalla, at Raj Bhavan today.
The team recently secured the 2nd runners-up position in the 3rd National CP Football Tournament held in Goa. During the meeting, the players shared their experiences and expressed their commitment to promoting sports among differently-abled persons in the state. They also highlighted the need for the inclusion of disability sports in the State Sports Policy to ensure equal opportunities and greater institutional support for athletes with disabilities.
Governor Bhalla congratulated the team on their performance and listened to their concerns.
