March 15, 2025 : The Government of Manipur, through the Office of the Divisional Forest Officer, Chandel Forest Division, has issued a notice regarding the auction sale of 18,750.254 tons of firewood, which will be sold in 162 lots.
According to the announcement made today, the firewood, which was extracted from affected forest areas along the Chakpikarong-Mombi-Joupi road (0 km to 33.708 km), is being made available for public auction through the Forest Department’s online portal.
Registered Forest Contractors, firms, and individuals interested in participating in the auction can submit their bids online through the official portal at www.forest.manipurforest.gov.in. The deadline for submitting bids is 5 PM on March 22, 2025.
Interested parties can obtain further details, including the terms and conditions of the auction, by contacting the office of the Divisional Forest Officer or the Range Forest Officer at Chakpikarong during office hours on working days.
The auction sale pertains to the firewood extracted during the road construction, widening, and improvement works by 84 RCC (GREF) under the NHSL specifications.
Dr. N. Munal Meitei, the Divisional Forest Officer cum Authorized Officer of Chandel Forest Division, signed the notice.
