Manipur former CM N. Biren Singh spoke out against the attack on the 33 AR convoy today, stating that the perpetrators of this heinous act must face the harshest punishment.
In a post on X, the former CM said he is deeply shaken to hear about the ambush on 33 Assam Rifles personnel at Nambol Sabal Leikai.
The attack killed two jawans and injured several others, with five injured personnel evacuated to RIMS Hospital in Imphal.
The incident reportedly occurred around 5:50 p.m. at Nambol Sabal Leikai in Bishnupur District while the convoy was traveling from Imphal in a Tata 407.
