A state-of-the-art Fire & Emergency Services Control Room equipped with GIS/GPS-based vehicle tracking was inaugurated today at the Manipur Fire Service Headquarters, Imphal.
The facility, set to be integrated with the 112 Emergency Response Support System (ERSS), promises faster mobilisation of fire tenders and improved public safety.
The centre was inaugurated by Ashutosh Kumar Sinha, Managing Director of MPHC Ltd., in the presence of senior officials including Commissioner (Home) N. Ashok Kumar, Joint Secretary (Home) M. Veto Singh, and Director of Manipur Fire Service L. Nabachandra Singh.
The upgraded system is expected to significantly strengthen the State’s emergency response network.
