Manipur Government Pushes for Enhanced Connectivity with Major Road Infrastructure Projects

March 10, 2025: In a move to boost connectivity across the state, the Government of Manipur is focused on advancing road infrastructure development in both the hill and valley regions.

Former Chief Minister N. Biren Singh, in his social media handles today, highlighted the key road projects underway, which are set to transform transportation and connectivity across the state. The ongoing projects include the construction and upgrading of 20.3 km of State Highways, 32.5 km of Major District Roads, 18.8 km of Other District Roads, and an impressive 364.3 km network of Inter-Village Roads.

The developments aim to bridge geographical gaps, improve accessibility to remote areas, and foster greater socio-economic growth for rural communities.

Biren Singh emphasized that these efforts will not only strengthen Manipur’s infrastructure but also promote inclusive development, connecting rural communities with urban centers and facilitating long-term sustainable growth.
