8 March 2025: The Governor of Manipur, Ajay Kumar Bhalla, has appointed Professor Chandbabu Singh W. as the Vice-Chancellor of Dhanamanjuri University for a period of five years, with effect from the date he assumes charge or until he attains the age of 70, whichever is applicable.
The order for the appointment was notified today by the Governor’s Secretariat, signed by the Governor of Manipur, who is also the Chancellor of Dhanamanjuri University.
Dhanamanjuri University (DM University) came into existence under The Dhanamanjuri University Act, 2017, which came into force on 6th April 2018 through a notification in the Manipur Gazette, published by the Department of Higher and Technical Education, Government of Manipur. The Dhanamanjuri University Bill, 2017 was passed on the floor of the Manipur Legislative Assembly on 3rd August 2017.
