Manipur Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla has provided financial assistance to the Manipur State Rural Livelihoods Mission (MSRLM) to enhance the production and distribution of “Mama’s Gift,” a nutrition supplement for displaced children aged nine months and above.
The supplement, prepared under the guidance of doctors and nutritionists from the National Health Mission (NHM), Manipur, is produced by the Lamyanbi Village Level Federation (VLF), Khurai, under MSRLM. The initiative has already benefited more than 1,000 children staying in relief camps across Imphal East, Imphal West, Bishnupur, Thoubal, Jiribam, Kakching, Tengnoupal, and Kangpokpi districts.
The Governor commended the initiative as a reflection of community care and resilience, adding that the support from Raj Bhavan is aimed at promoting the health and well-being of children and encouraging continued humanitarian efforts.
