Feb 19, 2025 : Manipur Governor Ajay Bhalla will attend the New Secretariat thrice a week to enhance administration and ensure effective and efficient coordination.
Earlier, on the 17th, he became the first governor to hold a high-level meeting at the Secretariat with senior officials, demonstrating a hands-on approach to governance. This move follows the imposition of President’s Rule in Manipur on February 13, 2025.
As per constitutional provisions, the Manipur Assembly has been placed under suspended animation. All administrative powers are now exercised by the President through the Governor, ensuring smooth governance during this period.
