Manipur Governor Visits Chandel, Reviews Development and Law & Order

The Governor of Manipur, Ajay Kumar Bhalla, visited border district Chandel today to review the overall law and order situation and assess administrative and developmental progress in the district.

During the visit, the Governor inaugurated the District Library and Information Technology Centre at the district headquarters. He later chaired a review meeting at the Conference Hall of the Deputy Commissioner’s office, where he was briefed on various developmental initiatives, including Centrally Sponsored Schemes aimed at improving the welfare of the local population.

Deputy Commissioner of Chandel, L. Nandakumar Singh, along with other District Level Officers (DLOs), made detailed presentations on ongoing projects and schemes. Superintendent of Police, Babitarani Swain, also presented the current security landscape and measures in place to maintain law and order.

The Governor urged officials to ensure that the benefits of all government schemes reach the people effectively. He also interacted with representatives of Civil Society Organisations and patiently heard their grievances.

Upon arrival, the Governor was warmly received by the Deputy Commissioner, SP, and DLOs at the district headquarters.
