The Government of Manipur has declared a holiday for all schools and colleges in the valley districts on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, following incessant rainfall and subsequent flooding across several parts of the state.
The order applies to institutions in Imphal West, Imphal East, Bishnupur, Kakching, and Thoubal districts, which have been among the worst affected by the recent floods.
The notification, issued by the Directorate of University and Higher Education, was announced in a press release on Monday.
