In view of the prevailing flood situation in Manipur, the Government of Manipur has extended the summer holidays to all the schools, including both private and government-aided schools located in Imphal East and West districts, and Senapati district of Manipur until further notice.
In an order issued by the Secretary (Education), Government of Manipur, the Deputy Commissioners of the districts in the State have been instructed to decide whether the schools under their respective jurisdiction should remain closed/open based on the daily assessment of the situation, under intimation to the Government.
The Zonal Education Officers of the districts/zones shall, in consultation with the concerned Deputy Commissioner, also submit reports to the Government on a daily basis.
