Manipur Guv Handed Over Ex-Gratia Sanction Release for Deceased Rishikanta

JAN 24, 2026 (Kakching): The Government of Manipur, with no further delay, released the ex-gratia sanction payment order of Rs 10,00,000 (ten lakh) from the state corpus fund to be credited to Account No. 42176747233 of the District Magistrate, Kakching District, through RTGS for making payment of ex-gratia/compensation to the NOK(s) of the following deceased person: Mayanglangbam Rishikanta Singh (29), son of N. Tombi.

The Kakching MLA, M. Rameshwar, along with members of the JAC, also visited the Manipur Lok Bhawan to meet the Governor on the subject on Saturday, and a sanction order was also handed over.

The amount of Rs 10 lakh comprises Rs 5 lakh each from the State ex-Gratia Scheme and the Central Scheme for Assistance to Civilian Victims (CSACV). The Deputy Commissioner, Kakching District, Manipur, shall take necessary action for verification of the next of kin(s), details of bank account number, etc., and transfer the sanctioned amount of Rs 10,00,000/- (ten lakh) by way of issue of separate sanction orders to the bank account of the NOK, i.e., the State share (Rs 5,00,000/-) under the State ex-Gratia Scheme and the Central share (Rs 5,00,000/-) under the “Central Scheme for Assistance to Civilian Victims of Terrorist/Communal/LWE Violence,” according to Joint Secretary Dr. Mayanglambam Veto Singh.
