Nov 20, 2025 (Imphal): The Governor of Manipur, Ajay Kumar Bhalla, released a total incentive amount of Rs. 29,99,200 for 1,150 ponies above six months of age, belonging to 86 pony owners and clubs, under the State Plan fund.
The incentives have been transferred to the pony owners through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) to provide support for Manipur’s unique equine pony, to supplement feeding during the lean period, and to ensure continuity of the incentive, which is being provided after a gap of three years.
The event was attended by the Chief Secretary, along with the Secretary, Director, and officers of the Department of Veterinary & Animal Husbandry.
