DEC 31, 2025: On this sacred occasion of ritual worship of Ima Imoinu Iratpa (the Goddess of Wealth), the Governor of Manipur, Ajay Kumar Bhalla, sends warm greetings to the people of Manipur.
“This festival signifies the return of the revered deity, Ima Emoinu, who is believed to visit every household on this sacred day to bestow her blessings of wealth, prosperity, and long life. The celebration symbolizes happiness and richness, and it is observed across different parts of the State in vibrant and unique ways that showcase the rich cultural heritage and traditions of Manipur,” said a statement issued by the Governor.
“I join the people of Manipur in observing this sacred festival and pray that the divine blessings of Ima Emoinu bring peace, harmony, and prosperity to the State,” the statement added.
