The Manipur Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla virtually participated in the national launch of the 20th PM-KISAN installment by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which released the 20th installment of the scheme, transferring ₹20,500 crore to 9.7 crore farmers.
The scheme aims to distribute ₹6,000 annually, in three equal installments, directly to farmers’ Aadhaar-linked bank accounts through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system. As a part of this, ₹18.09 crore is being disbursed to 74,963 beneficiaries across Manipur to strengthen and support their agricultural livelihoods.
PM-KISAN Diwas is being celebrated across the state by the Department of Agriculture and Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs) through special events, farmer-scientist interactions, and input distribution—a testament to the government’s unwavering commitment to empowering the farming community.
