Manipur Logs 16 Fresh COVID-19 Cases on June 19; Active Cases Rise to 51

Manipur reported 16 new COVID-19 cases on June 19, 2025, pushing the total number of confirmed infections since June 1 to 53. With no reported fatalities and two recoveries so far, the state’s active caseload now stands at 51, according to the Health Department.

Officials continue to urge residents to follow COVID-appropriate behaviour as part of precautionary efforts to ensure public health safety.

In related national updates, India’s active COVID-19 caseload dropped to 5,976 on Thursday, continuing a three-day downward trend. Three deaths were reported in the last 24 hours—two from Delhi and one from Kerala. All were elderly individuals with chronic illnesses.

The country is witnessing a gradual increase in infections linked to newer subvariants, including LF.7, XFG, JN.1, and the recently identified NB.1.8.1.
