Manipur Logs 30 New COVID-19 Cases; Active Caseload Rises to 104

Manipur recorded 30 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of confirmed infections since June 1 to 112, as per data from IDSP-75/covid/2020. The fresh cases were identified from 118 samples tested between 2 PM on June 20 and 2 PM on June 21.

With three more recoveries reported today, the cumulative discharge count has reached 8. The active caseload in the state has now increased to 104. No deaths have been reported during the current surge.

Since the onset of the pandemic, Manipur has recorded a total of 140,152 cases, 137,899 recoveries, and 2,149 deaths.

Health officials have reiterated the importance of maintaining COVID-appropriate behaviour, especially with emerging subvariants like LF.7, XFG, JN.1, and NB.1.8.1.

India COVID-19 Update:
India’s active COVID-19 caseload dropped to 5,012 on June 21, a decrease of 368 cases from the previous day. Since January 2025, the country has reported 19,453 recoveries and 121 deaths, including one fatality in the past 24 hours. The latest death was a 20-year-old male in Rajasthan with MODS, ARDS, and a history of seizures.
