A 28-year-old man from Manipur’s Jiribam district found his genital part missing after visiting a private hospital in Silchar for a biopsy test. The person has filed a police complaint accusing a doctor of the hospital of removing his important part without informed consent.
“Now, I am helpless and don’t know what to do. My life is finished. I tried to contact the doctor several times, but he didn’t respond to my calls. I am in mental distress and have problems due to the surgery,” the person reportedly told media persons in a press meet.
The 28-year-old Atikur Rahman from Jiribam visited the private hospital (RE Hospital) in Silchar initially on 19th June for treatment of a genital infection. Later, he was asked to undergo a biopsy test, and Atikur found his genital removed surgically by a doctor after the biopsy without his informed consent.
