Manipur has once again stamped its authority on the international sports stage as athletes from the state delivered a stunning performance at the 57th Asian Bodybuilding & Physique Sports Championship 2025 held in Bangkok, Thailand, from August 18 to 25.
Representing the All Manipur Body Builders Association (AMBBA), five athletes carried the state’s pride to new heights, returning with medals and accolades that have made Manipur beam with glory.
Among them, Chongtham Blunlyce clinched a silver medal in the Over 75 Kg Junior category, while Thokchom Sanjeeta powered her way to a bronze in the Women’s 55 Kg Bodybuilding category, showcasing Manipur’s strength and determination on the continental stage.
Adding to the triumph, Mayanglambam Olenit Singh soared to the top with a first-place finish in the Over 75 Kg Junior category, reaffirming the state’s dominance in bodybuilding.
Ricky Hawaibam also impressed with a strong fourth-place finish in the Upto 75 Kg Junior event, while veteran Leishangthem Kumarjit Meitei secured fifth position in the Masters, 50–60 years Over 80 Kg category.
