Manipur Police Win 45 Medals at All India Police Badminton and Table Tennis Championships

May 14, 2026 (IMP): Manipur Police secured an impressive haul of 45 medals at the 2nd All India Police Badminton Cluster Championships 2025–26 held in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, prompting congratulations from Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh.

According to the Chief Minister, the Manipur Police team, led by Asana Sarangthem, delivered outstanding performances in both badminton and table tennis events during the national-level championship.

The Manipur Police Table Tennis Team finished as Overall 1st Runners-Up in both the men’s and women’s team categories. The team won a total of 19 medals, including five gold, seven silver, and seven bronze medals.

Meanwhile, the badminton team also registered notable success by securing two gold, three silver, and two bronze medals across various events.

In his message, the Chief Minister praised the dedication and discipline of the Manipur Police personnel, stating that they continue to excel not only in maintaining safety, security, and law and order, but also in the field of sports.

He also extended appreciation and best wishes to the entire contingent for their achievements and future success.
