National COVID-19 Situation:
The COVID-19 virus has reemerged across India after a period of relative absence, triggering public concern and renewed discussions around mask mandates, quarantine protocols, and health safety measures. Although daily cases had surged past 7,500 a few weeks ago, the trend has shown a steady decline since last week.

As of June 23, 2025, India has 4,425 active COVID-19 cases across various states and union territories. Since January 1, 2025, a total of 20,947 individuals have been cured, discharged, or migrated, while 664 deaths have been recorded.

Notable changes since yesterday include an increase in active cases in Delhi (+17) and a reported fatality in West Bengal. Kerala saw a significant rise in recoveries with 211 discharged. Meanwhile, no new deaths were reported in several states including Arunachal Pradesh and Chandigarh. While certain regions continue to face management challenges, others show signs of improvement or stability.
