Manipur Reports 3 New COVID-19 Cases on Wednesday; Active Cases Rise to 35

Manipur recorded three new COVID-19 cases today, raising the active caseload in the state to 35. The latest cases were reported from Imphal West, Imphal East, and Thoubal districts—one case each.

According to the Health Department, between June 1 and June 18, a total of 147 samples have been tested, with 37 confirmed positive cases so far. Two patients have recovered, and no fatalities have been reported to date.

Out of the 35 active cases, 32 are in home isolation. One patient was discharged today after recovering under home care.

The Health Department has urged citizens to stay calm and continue following COVID-appropriate behaviour, stating that these measures are precautionary and part of the state’s preparedness efforts to safeguard public health.
