In an effort towards enhancing public service delivery, the Transport Department of Manipur is set to introduce e-Driving License (eDL) and e-Registration Certificate (eRC) services from today.
The initiative aligns with the national digital transformation agenda under the Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, aimed at modernising service delivery across the state.
This digital upgrade expands upon the existing 31 faceless and contactless services already offered by the Department, allowing citizens to conveniently access vehicle-related services such as ownership transfers, duplicate RC issuance, and address changes without visiting District Transport Offices (DTOs).
The Department emphasizes that no private individuals or third-party entities are authorized to act as facilitators or agents for these services. Any unauthorized activity should be reported to the Director of Transport, Manipur.
