In an effort to inspire patriotism and creativity among the youth, the BJP, Manipur Pradesh, today organised a state-level poem competition “Leibak Ningba Sheireng Changdamnaba” at Thambal Shanglen, Nitaipat Chuthek.
The event saw enthusiastic participation from students representing different schools across the state, who expressed their love for the motherland through poetry.
BJP Manipur Pradesh President, A. Sharda Devi, graced the function as Chief Guest and paid rich tributes to the courage and sacrifices of great leaders like Bir Tikendrajit, Thangal General, and Paona Brajabashi, who stood firm in defence of Manipur’s sovereignty and unity.
Speaking on the occasion, A. Sharda said the competition was aimed at reminding the younger generation of their responsibility to contribute to the state’s progress and harmony.
She further highlighted that since its inception in 1997, the “Athouba Ningsing Tha” observation has consistently inspired patriotism and unity among the people.
The BJP President also highlighted the importance of awareness in today’s digital age, noting that misuse of smartphones often leads to risks for many youths.
“It is crucial that we use technology wisely and meaningfully to safeguard ourselves and society,” she advised.
