Manipur Titular King MP Sanajaoba Warns of Massive Uprising if Crisis Remains Unresolved

Feb. 21, 2025: Rajya Sabha MP Leishemba Sanajaoba issued a strong warning regarding the ongoing crisis, suggesting that those responsible for the situation may soon face a massive public uprising once the truth behind the events is revealed.
He questioned how authorities would manage the situation if such a movement were to erupt.

Speaking to reporters at the International Mother Language Day celebration at GP College, Sanajaoba highlighted the severe hardships that the people have endured over nearly two years of the crisis.

The MP expressed concern over the excessive political maneuvering surrounding the issue and stressed the urgent need for unity and a consensus-based resolution to safeguard the well-being of the people.

Sanajaoba also referred to recent reports of village volunteers being arrested and suggested that the public would soon begin to investigate the underlying causes of these arrests. He hinted that these circumstances required a closer look but did not provide further details.

Without naming specific individuals, political figures, or civil society organizations, Sanajaoba issued a stern warning, indicating that the consequences of the current situation could surpass those of the June 18 uprising.

He called on all parties involved in the ongoing crisis to step forward and work together for a peaceful resolution, urging a collective effort to restore stability and peace to the state.
