IMPHAL, June 4: Around 200 NSS volunteers, students, and faculty members participated in a mass cleanliness drive and anti-single-use plastic campaign organised by Manipur University on Thursday as part of World Environment Day 2026 observance.
Held under the theme “Mission LiFE: Lifestyle for Environment”, the programme was jointly organised by the Department of Environmental Science and the NSS Cell at the university campus in Canchipur.
The event featured an awareness rally promoting plastic-free living and environmental conservation, followed by a cleanliness drive across various parts of the campus. Organisers highlighted the importance of reducing plastic use and adopting environmentally responsible practices to support a cleaner and more sustainable future.
