March 26, 2025: Manipur University successfully organized the State-level “Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament” (VBYP) on Wednesday at the Court Hall of the university in Canchipur, Imphal West. The event provided a platform for young voices to actively participate in national discussions and contribute to the vision of Viksit Bharat@2047.
VBYP aims to foster leadership, civic engagement, and policy dialogue by encouraging students to deliberate on crucial national issues. Earlier, the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports had designated six nodal institutions in Manipur to host the competitions.
The final state-level event was initially planned to be held at the Manipur Legislative Assembly Hall. However, due to some circumstances, the venue was shifted to Manipur University.
A total of 50 students, selected through district-level competitions, took part in the event. They engaged in competitive discussions on the evolution and significance of the Indian Constitution over the past 75 years, addressing its challenges and impact on national development.
