Manipur Unveils Online Property Tax Platform for 26 Municipal Councils

In a landmark move towards digital governance, the Manipur Municipality Property Tax Board (MMPTB) officially launched the state’s first Online Property Tax Platform today, covering 26 Municipal Councils.

The platform was inaugurated by P.K. Singh, Chief Secretary, at a formal event held in the Manipur Secretariat in Imphal.

P.K. Singh lauded the MMPTB team for their dedicated work and emphasized the need for capacity building, transparency, and door-to-door services to ensure public access and smooth implementation.

A live interaction with Shri Manpreet Singh, Chief Programme Officer of the National Urban Digital Mission, and a tutorial video on property registration marked the highlights of the event.

Designed by Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu India LLP under the UPYOG platform and supported by the National Institute of Urban Affairs (NIUA), the platform offers digital services for Property Registration, Self-Assessment, Tax Payment, Amalgamation, Separation, and Mutation processes.

With Moirang chosen as the pilot project site, trained staff and MTU students are ready for the rollout.
