March 31, 2025: Marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan, the Meitei-Pangal community (indigenous Muslims) across the state celebrated Eid-ul-Fitr with joy after offering Namaz (prayer) at mosques on Monday.

Former CM of Manipur O Ibobi, MPCC President K Meghachandra, and many other MLAs were seen joining the Namaz as part of the festival celebration, reflecting unity and inclusivity. Mosques across the valley districts of Manipur witnessed large gatherings as followers of Islam came together to offer special prayers.

Eid-ul-Fitr, one of the two major Islamic festivals, marks the conclusion of Ramadan, the holy month of fasting. The festival is celebrated with joy and gratitude, symbolizing a reward for devotion, prayers, and self-restraint observed during the fasting period. On this occasion, the Muslim community in Manipur also prayed for peace and harmony in the state.
