In a landmark step towards digital governance and sustainable administration, the Directorate of Printing & Stationery has officially adopted a paperless system for all its internal and external communications, document handling, and workflow processes, with immediate effect.
This major shift aligns with the e-Governance thrust of the State Government, aimed at enhancing transparency, speed, and efficiency in public service delivery.
As per a circular issued by Director Ng. Roben Singh, the move towards a paperless working environment will not hinder the Directorate’s ongoing role in printing statutory forms, official booklets, and other essential government publications.
Rather, it is expected to boost coordination between the Directorate and various government departments by making communication faster, traceable, and eco-friendly.
The circular outlines new operational protocols to be followed by all concerned. Government departments already using the eOffice Manipur system are requested to correspond with the Directorate solely through the digital platform. Departments or public entities not yet onboard the eOffice system are encouraged to use official or personal email to reach the Directorate at dir.govtpress-mn@manipur.gov.in.
All outgoing communication from the Directorate will now be issued digitally—either through eOffice, email, or WhatsApp (9402268344)—except in cases where physical ink-signed documents are required by law.
Furthermore, all documents requiring authentication from the Directorate will now carry a verified digital signature of the competent authority unless a physical signature is legally mandated.
Citizens and departments seeking services or clarification are encouraged to use the provided digital modes for seamless interaction.
