Manipur’s Ngamba Longjam Bags Gold in SGADF Indo-Nepal International Games

Imphal: Jan 25 : Ngamba Longjam, son of Longjam Hemjit from Keishamthong Longjam Leirak, has made Manipur and India proud by securing a gold medal in the Amateur Boxing 55 kg (Super Bantam) weight category at the SGADF Indo-Nepal International Games 2025.

Representing India from Aztecs Fight Studio, Ngamba displayed exceptional skill and determination, defeating both Azar Bhaijaan and a Nepalese opponent in the final rounds to clinch the prestigious gold.

The tournament, which took place from January 19 to 23 at Rangasal Stadium in Pakhana, Nepal, showcased top-tier talent from across the region.

Ngamba, a student of renowned boxing coach Deep Laishram, arrived back in Imphal this evening, where he was warmly welcomed by friends, family, and supporters. His achievement is being celebrated as a significant milestone in the region’s sporting history.

Aztecs Fight Studio extended their heartfelt congratulations to Ngamba on his remarkable success, wishing him continued progress in his boxing career.
