Bringing pride to Manipur, Ningthoujam Ajit Singh of Khangabok Khullakpam Mamang Leikai in Thoubal District has been selected as Deputy Director of Employment in the Directorate General of Employment under the Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India.
The selection was made through the highly competitive UPSC recruitment process.
Currently serving as a Research Officer (Planning) at the North Eastern Council (NEC), Shillong, this is Ajit Singh’s second UPSC success. Earlier, he served as an Economic Officer in the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
An alumnus of D.M. College of Arts and Manipur University, he holds an M.A. and M.Phil in Economics.
Renowned for his academic brilliance and decorated with over 100 prizes in literary and intellectual events, his new appointment stands as a testament to his merit and hard work and is a proud achievement for the state of Manipur.
