A widespread observance of the “Pledge Against Child Marriage” was organised as part of the nationwide campaign to eliminate child marriage by 2030.
The pledge-taking programme was conducted across all police polling units, the SDO office, the CMO office, child care institutions, various schools, ICDS centres, PHED divisions, as well as by staff of the District Social Welfare Office.
The event was held in the presence of Stiff Kapudang, ADM, along with staff of the DC office, Noney.
All activities were carried out under the guidance of Sharath Chandra Arroju, Deputy Commissioner.
The campaign was observed to raise awareness on the harmful impacts of child marriage and to reinforce the protection of children’s rights.
