In an operation conducted by security forces in the western foothills of Chingkhei Ching, under the jurisdiction of Porompat Police Station in Imphal East District, several weapons and explosives were recovered.
The recovered items include one 7.62 SLR rifle with a magazine, two 12-bore SBBL guns, one 7.65mm pistol with a magazine, three No.36 HE hand grenades (without detonators), two stun shells, and four tear smoke shells. Additionally, security forces seized various types of live ammunition: ten rounds of .303, two of 5.56, 22 of 5.56x30mm, and three of .32. Other recovered items included a detonator, an arming ring, a 12-bore empty cartridge, two bulletproof jackets, four bulletproof plates, and two helmets.
