Security forces arrested Doukholet Hanghal, 52, from Mongkot Khopi village under Churachandpur Police Station, a raid at his residence led to the recovery of 870 grams of brown sugar estimated at ₹1.74 crore, 260 grams of suspected No. 4 heroin packed in 20 soap cases worth around ₹52 lakhs, ₹29.5 lakhs in cash reportedly earned through drug deals, two Baofeng radio sets with base, a mobile phone, and an Aadhaar card, the arrest was made on May 22,
In a separate operation, Manipur Police arrested Mrs. Chigenvung, 46, of Kanan Veng, currently residing in Tangnuam village under the same police station, the arrest was made on May 23, a search at her residence resulted in the seizure of 289 grams of suspected brown sugar packed in 25 soap cases, ₹8 lakhs in cash, and one mobile phone.
