The media fraternity in Manipur expresses deep shock and mourns the sudden, untimely demise of Chirom Jadumani Singh, one of the shining news anchors from the galaxy of Manipur journalism, who was currently working with SKTV News.
The All Manipur Working Journalists’ Union (AMWJU) and Editors’ Guild Manipur (EGM) also expressed deep sorrow and conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, praying for the departed soul to rest in eternal peace.
The 50-year-old news anchor, born in October 1975 at Lamdeng Khunou, Lamsang Bazar in Imphal West, began his media career with ISTV News. He later worked at ISCOM for two years and had been serving as a news anchor at SKTV News since the channel’s inception, continuing until his last breath on October 27, 2025.
The media fraternity fondly remembers him as a sincere and dedicated journalist with a calm, composed, and ever-smiling personality who contributed immensely to news broadcasting and inspired many young anchors with his professionalism and humility.
