Medical Students Promote Blood Donation Culture

The All Manipur Medical Students’ Association (AMMSA) successfully organized a Voluntary Blood Donation Camp today at the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal, contributing significantly to the cause of saving lives and promoting a culture of voluntary blood donation.

A total of 62 donors participated in the camp, including 38 medical students from RIMS and 24 other voluntary donors from the local community. The event reflected the strong commitment of the student body and the people of Manipur towards supporting the healthcare system and patients in need.

The blood donation camp was conducted under the guidance of the Department of Transfusion Medicine, RIMS, ensuring all safety protocols were strictly followed. The initiative also aimed to raise awareness about the importance of regular blood donation and its life-saving impact. AMMSA expressed heartfelt gratitude to all the donors, volunteers, and the RIMS administration for their unwavering support in making the event a success.
