July 1, 2025 (Agency) : In full public glare, a 25-year-old man from Meghalaya slit his ex-girlfriend’s throat in front of her father yesterday evening, and the victim succumbed to her injury at Tirot Sing Memorial Hospital.
The incident took place at the Pyndengumiong parking lot in Mairang, under the Eastern West Hills, after the victim told the boy that she wanted to end the relationship with him, according to local media reports.
The public caught and detained the person and later handed him over to the police. The accused has been identified as Roberto Marngar (25), and the deceased girl has been identified as Kharsyntiew.
Meanwhile, the family members of the victim demanded the harshest punishment for the accused.
