Feb 22, 2025 : Representatives from various ‘Meira Paibi’ groups in Imphal submitted a memorandum to Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla, urging the immediate formation of an elected government along with the swift restoration of peace in the region.
Before visiting Raj Bhawan to meet the Governor, the representatives earlier dropped in at ‘Thambal Shanglen,’ the BJP Manipur Pradesh head office in Nityaipat Chuthek, Imphal, and submitted a similar memorandum to A. Sarda Devi, the President of BJP Manipur, stressing the urgency of addressing the political crisis. The groups, known for their active role in community service, emphasized the need for stability and political resolution amidst the ongoing unrest.
In response to the memorandum, A. Sarda Devi took to her social media platforms, acknowledging the concerns of the groups. She wrote, “Their concerns were acknowledged with deep appreciation for their selfless contributions to society.”
