Altogether 6-member delegates, from two influential Meitei CSOs namely AMUCO and FOCS Manipur, three representatives each, have reached the national capital to attend the crucial reconciliation dialogue with Kuki-Zo CSO representatives called by the Ministry of Home Affairs tomorrow, on the 5th of April.

And altogether, likely 9 representatives from the Kuki-Zo community headed by Kuki-Zo Councils will attend the dialogue process initiated by the Ministry of Home Affairs, according to the source.

Earlier, Kuki-Zo Council (KZC) chairman Henlianthang Thanglet said that they have set three pre-conditions in consultation with COTU that include no-cross movement of Meitei in Kuki-Zo dominated areas and vice-versa, an end of hostility for 6 months to facilitate negotiation, and a structure for formal and meaningful dialogue process must be initiated during the ceasefire period.

However, the valley-based CSOs have not set any condition so far. It may be mentioned that on Feb 12, the Meitei CSOs were invited for the dialogue with Kuki-CSOs by MHA officials, according to our sources.
