Tengnoupal District: In a significant step toward restoring normalcy and administrative functionality in the region, Meitei/Meetei community government staff have resumed their official duties at the Machi Sub-Division Headquarters. This positive development comes in the wake of sustained efforts by the Deputy Commissioner of Tengnoupal District and the Sub-Divisional Officer of Machi Sub-Division.
The return of staff to the sub-divisional headquarters marks the first such instance since the outbreak of the Manipur conflict in May 2023, which had disrupted regular governance and civil operations in the area.
